We recently completed a full garden design and renovation for our client who had recently moved into a new build home at The Wisp in the East of Edinburgh. We began from an entirely blank slate as the builders had left the garden uncompleted.
Working from the client’s initial sketches we transformed 100 square meters of earthy bare ground into a beautiful, lush space which everyone can enjoy. We met with client for an onsite consultation to discuss the initial conception of the garden before providing the quote. |
New Lawn, Composite Decking, Timber Edging and Gravel Installation at The Wisp in Edinburgh
We agreed on the plan for the garden design and work swiftly began, installing 60 square meters of turf complete with timber edging surrounding. We left a 600mm border left around 30m of the turfed area for a new flowerbed. We also installed 2.5m x 5m of composite decking by the back door. This includes building a frame also from composite material. The benefit of our composite decking is it comes with a 25-year guarantee as it is built to last far longer than traditional wooden decking. We had already moved in this direction and our suspicions were correct as we attended a trade show in London to keep up to date with industry trends. The future it seems is definitely composite. We also laid a gravel path which acted as a staggered border between the decking and turf as well as functioning as pathway along the sides of the property. It was an absolute pleasure to transform this garden, complimenting the newly built home with an even more impressive garden!
